Commitment holds the key
December 30th, 2008 byTo build a strong team to achieve the organizational aim, the team building events should greatly focus on the commitment factor of the team members. Since it is obvious that the sincere and committed efforts are too critical in working as a team to achieve the aim, commitment factor cannot be compromised.
The question has to be asked to each team member whether he or she wants to be in this team. This clearly comes as the first question since if the answer is no, there is no scope for further questions. If the answer is yes, the next question is whether the individual is very much aware of company?s objectives and mission.
As a continuation of the commitment factor, certain other things also have to be known from the team members. They should not only be committed, but also they should feel that their efforts are awaited by the organization and their achievements are counted. The team members should also be in a mental status to expect rewards and appreciations from the top authorities for the work they have given. This thought will motivate the members to work exceedingly well as a team. That is the reason why testing the commitment of the team member is such a big factor in team building.
