My company has been talking about getting the employees to do some computer training online. Many people are concerned about it because they like the idea of having a tutor or trainer in the room so that they can ask questions. That is obviously an advantage of having someone there but if the course is good enough then there should be no need to ask lots of questions. I did some Excel 2008 training online and found it to be really great. The course took me step by step through everything that I needed to know and I worked at the pace that suited me the best. That meant that I could go back and repeat bits that I did not fully understand or rush through parts that I already knew which is obviously something which you cannot do with a trainer as they have to assume that all of the group know nothing. The Microsoft online training courses seem to be really good as well, at least I found them great.
